Person-based reminders are supposed to trigger when you receive an email, text, or call from a specific person. Cortana has options for setting reminders based on a person or place, but I could not get either to work. Click the + symbol to type in a new reminder. (Again, you do that by clicking the circle next to the start button or by pressing windows+C.) Then click on the reminders section. Unfortunately, monthly reminders are not yet a feature.ĥ. Are you trying to set a secret reminder about the surprise party for the person sitting next to you, or are you just not into talking to your computer? You can set reminders without talking to Cortana. Examples of this would be a daily reminder to feed your dog or a reminder to submit your time card every Friday. To set the reminder, say “yes,” or click on the Remind button.Ĥ. To make your reminder repeat, click on the fourth box that by default is labeled “only once.” Here, you can choose to have your reminder go off every day or on a certain day of the week. “Remind me tomorrow morning to make dinner reservations.”ģ. Cortana will then pull up a screen where you can edit your reminder before setting it. “Remind me on August 26 to register for classes.” “Remind me every Monday at 6 am to take out the trash.” “Remind me in 15 minutes to move my laundry to the dryer.” Tell her what reminder you want her to set. If you perfer to use a keyboard shortcut, pressing Windows+C will get Cortana’s attention.Ģ. Cortana is listening. If not, press the Cortana icon, and then click on the microphone icon. If you have “Hey, Cortana” set up, you can use that. The options are endless.ġ. The simplest way to set a reminder in Windows 10 is by talking to your computer. If it were not for reminders, my trash would never make it to the curb. You can use reminders to make sure you never forget to pick up your kids from soccer practice or to remind you to pick up flowers on your anniversary. The reminder didn't go away until i picked up my phone and acknowledged it and if it were a little darn louder! Everything else would be a nice change (background color, one price for the app and sounds) but not necessary for 5 stars.Reminders are a prime example of technology doing what it is supposed to do: make our lives easier. They seem very customer focused with a button to directly email them with feedback.ġ. You can setup the Start and Stop time, set the interval time and days of the week, and it shows you at the top of the screen how many of the goal breaks you were able to hit.ģ. I've downloaded a number of them with the exception of those that had bad popup reviews, and this one is the best.Ģ. Of all the other break timers, this one really is the best available in the Apple App Store. Good App if You Have Your Phone in Front of You Oftenġ. Just regular, simple reminders to get up, with easy confirmations so you can get a sense of how you're doing. There's no compulsive tracking and time management, and we don't tell you what exercises you need to do. We don't micromanage you, and we don't make you feel guilty. Alternate color schemes in case you really hate that yellow.A Today widget lets you see how long to your next reminder, and to skip or pause notifications.Interactive notifications, acknowledge the reminder from the lock screen.And there's a random mode to keep you on your toes.
